ZSOM-Mini BMS
The ZSOM-BMS (meaning Battery Managment System is an add-on that expands to the ZSOM-Mini, allowing a use in a mobile environment powered by a battery.
Core Functions
- Powering the ZSOM-Mini from a single cell li-ion battery
- Recharging the Battery with power supplied over a USB-C port
- Monitoring the Battery level and indicating it with an led bar
- Providing supply for external circuits with switchable voltage of 5V or 12V and a current up to 500mA
Red Warn LED
Off
Meaning: No warning

Can Communication
The BMS periodically transmits values by Can to be used by the user code. The following values are transmitted:
CAN id | description | format | example |
---|---|---|---|
0x2D9 | is battery currently charging | 1 Bit Boolean | 1 |
0x2DA | battery voltage | voltage as ASCII-Text: X.XX | 3.82 |
0x2DB | approximate battery charge level | percentage as ASCII-Text: XXX% | 075% |
